Corporate Accounting Manager

Clear Comfort Water is seeking a sharp and adaptable Corporate Accounting Manager to support and lead key financial processes while we expand our company growth. This role will initially focus on managing a well-established month-end close process, with direct support and onboarding from the CFO.
We are a mighty team of two in a growing high performance company that we work the details and the strategy. We are not afraid to get our hands dirty or think big. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to grow with the company, comfortable rolling up their sleeves, and curious to understand how all parts of the accounting cycle connect in a dynamic small-business environment.
This is a unique opportunity for a motivated accounting professional who wants to build toward a controllership path while also gaining hands-on experience with day-to-day transactional and process work.
Key Responsibilities
- Month-End Close & Financial Reporting
- Own and manage the documented month-end close process
- Prepare journal entries and key balance sheet reconciliations
- Review work completed by other members of the accounting team
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and assist leadership with analysis
- Operational Accounting Support
- Collaborate with team members on weekly AP review and cash flow tracking
- Assist with vendor and customer communications
- Provide backup support as needed for tasks such as AP entry, sales tax filings, and payroll administration
- Help ensure accuracy and completeness across all areas of the accounting cycle
- Process Development & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Maintain and improve documentation for core accounting processes
- Work well cross-functionally with accounting team and C-Suite team
- Learn internal systems and tools, and help drive process consistency across departments
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- 2-4 years of experience, preferably in public accounting or a similarly structured environment
- Quickbooks Online experience required
- Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting for manufacturing
- Advanced Google Sheets or Excel skills (XLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.)
- Exposure to manufacturing, inventory, or cost accounting is a plus
- Comfortable learning and using tools like SalesForce, SOS Inventory, Gusto
- Eager to dive into all aspects of the accounting cycle — from close to operations
- Positive, flexible attitude with a collaborative mindset and attention to detail
- Excellent communicator with strong problem-solving skills
